This has to be a joke right? Oklahoma has had earthquakes for ever. We have less than 200 years worth of info of how they occur there, strength and frequency and all. So they think that just a short period of time of cracking the rocks at shallow depths (relative to the depth of the plates that is) is causing the whole plate to move... This is more unlikely than the weight of New York City or Los Angeles pushing the plates down and causing earthquakes. Not to mention... its happening all over the west coast right now. From Alaskan Volcanos to Chilean earthquakes. Perhaps we should start (foil hat time) looking for other reasons... like underground... and asking ourselves... HEY!!! Isnt Yellowstone about 40,000 years over due?
