This has to be the darkest moment in dirt track racing history. We - TopicsExpress

This has to be the darkest moment in dirt track racing history. We have lost many heroes before, we will lose many more, but the WAY this event happened and transpired is the ugliest mark our sport has ever seen or felt. This one will have an affect on the Outlaws all the way down to Port City and Creek County. We wont really know the true aftermath of this event for many years to come. One thi g is for certain, people who have never even saw a picture of a sprint car before now think were all barbarians and heathens with no morals, ethics, or common sense. Dirt track racing as we know it, has been changed forever. This happening on the night of our sports greatest event and showcased Race was eerily similar to that Saturday morning of the Chili Bowl 2 years ago. Ive never felt the life, fun, smile, excitement, and flair of 20,000 people be sucked away in a matter of seconds like i did that day. We lost a great man in DRC that morning, and probably a great young man this evening as well. On a night we should be talking about Donny Schatz and the greatest run in sprirnt car history and celebrating the Knoxville Nationals, its all garbage news compared to what happened in New York this evening. Ultimately only 2 people will ever know what TRULY happened, God and Tony Stewart. Ive got my prayers sent out to everyone in attendance tonight. I only hope, wish, and pray, something like this NEVER happens again.
