This image has been shared many, many times... There is OUTRAGE from those sharing, and commenting, that homeless people have been prevented from sleeping in a polluted environment! The pollution includes noise, light and air pollution - all is harmful to health, all prevents a good nights sleep and subsequently proper functioning of the human... I do not see Anti homeless spikes, but a pedestrian deterrent to deter people from crossing dangerous roads where pedestrians have been excluded. The land monopoly has resulted in homelessness. Greed and demands for ever increasing land and rental prices continue. A baby born into this world is dependent on its parents and had no entitlement to the basic resource without which has cannot have food or shelter... Land. In order to live this baby will have to rely on its parents, and/or pay rent. Rent must be paid before it can eat or provide shelter for itself... Those not owning land, are they anything more than serfs? This is a problem that needs to be addressed. With continued support for ever increasing property prices, the resulting homelessness is likely to continue to increase. An alternative pedestrian deterrent to the paving are railings, as pictured at Chiswick. I suppose theyd reduce the sleeping area, but allow sleeping on either side.... O dear!
