This is Asha when she was younger. She passed away today in veterinary clinic. Over the last 5 days I couldnt figure out what was causing her sudden illness. Turned out she had very bad pyometra, and the last symptom which was puss coming out from her uterus (I thought it came out from her bladder) came today 2 hours before scheduled vet visit. I feel very bad as phone consults and emergency vet did not help. Her body was swarming with bacteria causing shock (she bit me twice in the morning). I am also sad because many of us here have problems getting to vet that specializes in exotics on time. For me it happened when my vet that specializes in rats has exams etc and was not available straight away. Apparently it was too late even 5 days ago I still feel bad. My sweet black friend had to go in so much suffering. I also wanted to say Im sorry for anybody that lost their friend due to a bad disease... Cheers to the little creatures that make us so happy and are not with us anymore
