This is Day 5 of the 7 Day Gratitude Challenge. And, after much contemplation, I must admit that there is a part of me that is grateful for having had our business stolen from us. It certainly wasnt what we had planned but it surely has taught us a number of lessons. We learned who our real friends are and made some new ones along the way. We learned how much we appreciated life without so many material things. We had it confirmed that God loves us and always gives us what we need, not always what we think we want. For a control freak, this was a hard lesson to learn but I am grateful to be learning it. Although we had often talked about moving to Glading when we retired, we thought it would be under other circumstances. So, although I dont ever see my self as being facebook friends with the guys who did a job on us, I am grateful for the lessons we have learned from the experience and to the people who have helped us in the process.
