This is ELLIE...this poor beautiful girl has been SO betrayed by people it breaks my heart! She was an owner surrender to a high kill shelter & the staff there thought she was pregnant. We agreed to take her & got her out of the shelter last week. Come to find out Ellie was not pregnant...but she had tons of milk & her uterus was not normal size upon palpating, which means she just recently had pups. So basically her owner took her pups and dumped her! She was so depressed and rightfully so...she missed her babies. But that wasnt all we discovered...this poor girl was not only depressed, she was petrified and rightfully so...to say that Ellie had been abused would be an understatement. She cowers in the corners, tries to hide in any possible crevice as she is frightened of humans and is scared to trust them...but considering she has what appears to be nail holes in her ears that were then ripped out, I cant blame her! But despite her being so mistreated and obviously having a very shitty life, she still wants to trust again & be loved...this is her, finally letting a leash be put on her & coming out today! Baby steps beautiful girl...you will NEVER be hurt again! And a big thank you to Terri Evans for being such an awesome foster in NC that is showing her love & working with her to gain her trust again!
