This is EXACTLY why religion SUCKS!!!! The INDOCTRINATION of hatred is a foundational principle and is the antithesis of what that stupid book these bigots claim to live by is about. I asked this question once before and Ill ask it again: So, for the faithful who think that gay marriage/gay rights/human-rights for gay folks is somehow evil or abhorrent or whatever judgmental/prejudicial adjective you want to assign it, let me ask you a simple three part question: 1) Did God make us in his image? 2) Is God Perfect, Infallible and Omniscient? 3) Are Gay people a mistake? Now, you cant say yes to either number one or number two and also say yes to number three. Gay is not a Choice. People dont Choose to be something that so many would rebuke, revile and reject because of their own learned bigotry and hatred. The Bible that so many quote to justify their bias and prejudice also said that unclean women must be stoned (Deuteronomy 22:20-21 - 20 If, however, the charge is true and no proof of the young woman’s virginity can be found, 21 she shall be brought to the door of her father’s house and there the men of her town shall stone her to death. She has done an outrageous thing in Israel by being promiscuous while still in her father’s house. You must purge the evil from among you.) and that Disrespectful children should be beaten and killed: (Deuteronomy 21:18-21 - If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them: Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place; And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard. And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shalt thou put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear. Exodus 21:15 - He that smiteth his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death. Exodus 21:17 - He that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death.) You cant cherry pick the book then claim your choices are the right ones and the others are disposable. That alone is an absolute transgression of your books tenets of the faith.
