This is Grace. Wonky Towers has been set up to help dogs like her learn what life in a home is all about. Here she is safe and here she is learning to understand that humans are her friends and already she has started to play. Soon she will move on to a foster home where the journey will continue. Just £2 a month will allow us to work with dogs like Grace to give them the very best start on the road to their forever home. We have at last realised our dream and now have our own rescue base in RCT. A place where abused, abandoned, unwanted, damaged and poorly animals can stay until they move on to foster homes. Somewhere for the stray dogs of Rhondda Cynon Taff to be held overnight warm, fed and safe when the local authority pound is closed until the following morning when the Dog Wardens come back on duty. Of course we may have managed to reunite them with their owners through our free RCT Lost and Found service. We have the premises and have already started to do the work needed to allow us to help needy animals including cat pens where we can hold kittens and cats waiting for foster homes, a small animal room where we can care for injured or orphaned wildlife whilst we seek expert help for them. Somewhere for our Coordinators to meet and our Volunteers can come and help. To do all these things we need to raise a thousand pounds a month over and above our normal fundraising as none of this can be done at the expense of our commitment to the very best veterinary treatment for any animal that is in our care. We need 500 people who will commit to a monthly donation of at least £2 a month so that we can cover the overheads of running Wonky Towers. Just £2, less than the price of a coffee at Starbucks, less than a sandwich at at cafe, less than a glass of wine.
