This is Heath Tower that once stood at Heath, Ohio near Newark. This once guarded the diamonds of the Pennsylvania Railroad Panhandle, the B&O and the New York Centrals T&OC Eastern Division. This was once part of the PRRs C&N Division Columbus to Newark which was also used by the B&O. Heath Tower was a B&O structure which was manned thru Penn Central. Note the differant colored brick on the towers exteriour as a PC derailment almost knocked Heath Tower down as it was the B&O that repaired the tower. It was a box car that fell into the towers corner while it was manned! Heath Tower was torn down by CSX back night in the early 2000s, pix taken in 1993.
