This is Hector in Cyprus who was born in 2006 so is now 8 years old. When he was 3, his owner died and since then the family have shut him in a shed because they dont want him but couldnt get rid of him. Cyprus is a very bad place for animals in general, they are very cruel. We offered to help, so today he was sprung from his prison and taken into kennels to prepare for travel. His rescuer is an English lady living out there who has been very upset by his plight. She says she has never seen so many fleas and ticks on a dog and took him straight to the vets. His blood tests fortunately are all OK. Clare is going to fundraise to raise the money to get him over to us but we will chip in as well. We could not turn our back on him, he is by all accounts a big gentle giant.
