This is Izzy at her best. She had the gene for hunting. Looking at pictures helps but painful at the same time. The mornings are so hard. I used to get out of bed with such joy. To open their crates, lay on the floor and have Max and izzy kiss me good morning. Izzy would always flop on the floor and lay her head on my lap. Now I wake up with overwhelming sadness. Seeing her empty crate is gut wrenching. And the tears flow and maxwell brings me his stuffed animal to cheer me up. He is amazing, hurting more than I Im sure, but he never thinks of himself. Typical Labrador. Then I take him outside and cry beside Izzys grave. And then breakdown again when I prepare his food. Everything I did in the past that brought me such joy now brings intense grief. Oh why did this happen to my little girl. I now realize just how fulfilled she made me feel. The hole in me is so large. Thank you for all the support. Thank god Jeanne and I can lean on each other. I love my little Izzy.
