This is Marianne. When I first met her a few years ago she had a very thick and matted coat with dreadlocks here and there. She always had this vulnerability and femininity to her that touched my heart. She used to stay with people who lived opposite a very affluent community. I used to feed dogs close to this community. At that time I received a written request not to feed the dogs there, the dogs were removed together with the poor family who lived opposite this community. Soon a pretty garden took the place of the poor family and the dogs. Marianne disappeared. I spoke to God, Guanyin anybody up there who has more power than me. It was almost a year before I saw her again. Needless to say we were both crying and so happy to be reunited. I never fed her regularly. She just appeared at random times and then I would feed her with the best I had in my car. Then I saw that her condition was deteriorating. She lost her hair. I tried once to rescue her, but she wouldnt allow me and I didnt have the time to be patient. The night of the rescue I went back to the feeding stations a third time that day, looking for the dogs because I had really nice food in the car. I didnt want to just leave the food out because this time of the year we have a problem with ants and I did not want to spoil dinner. That was when I saw her. Running after every car like an abandoned dog in an area she is familiar with. I stopped the car and she was so happy to see me. She peed all the way. I told her Im willing to help her. She allowed the rescue :D I tried just now to give her a bath, but shes clearly unfamiliar with this procedure. I dont have the time to be patient right now because I must leave to go and teach soon.
