This is Spencer he is 6y old and my little miracle boy! He keeps me on my toes, laughing and defiantly keeps us all In check. He has a very big opinion and hes not afraid to share it. I love his honesty and his quirky sense of humor. He very adventurous and isnt scared of much. He loves animals and reading books. If I could change anything it would only be to back to when he was 2y old and learn then about his Aspergers! That Would have explained so much and I could have learned early how to help him when he was on sensory over load, like In public. I couldnt figure out why he had these horrible melt downs every time we went to the store or I took him somewhere crowded that was suppose to be fun. When he was 3 I took him to see the Monster trucks when we got to the fair grounds he could hear the loud trucks and I couldnt get him out of the car he was screaming holding on to the door and I was like buddy its going to be fun! Well of course we never made it out of the car and on the way home once he calmed down he said mommy... Monsters arent fun they are loud and I dont like them he is very literal and over the years I have learned never to tell him in a min.... Because he is always counting when you say In a min!! He brings so much joy to my family & I wouldnt change him or trade him for anything in the world! Hes my world and I am so blessed to be his mom and even through the hours of meltdowns, the ups and downs the extreme rages I wouldnt change him because then he wouldnt be spencer. I do know with age he is learning to control and to express his feelings better. He actually went on his first school field trip... With out me! We went over his steps of breathing and closing his eyes and he had his ear plugs in how pocket if it got too loud. He was so proud he came home and said it was great. His teacher didnt even need to remind him of his steps. He said I put my ear plugs in and I closed my eyes I smelled the flowers and blew out the candles all on my own! Which means he took slow deep breathes in and blew it out to help gather his thoughts and calm down when it got too loud or he was feeling chaotic. Then he said but mom it was really hard work because it was a long time and I rather not go back any time soon lol. I can accept that! I am so proud hes my boy and I know he will make a difference in this world. 󾌵 Reposted by -Victoria
