This is Tarry There Garden this morning (8/13/14).The bees & other pollinators are buzzing & flitting about. There are 5 or 6 varieties of sunflowers blooming throughout the garden, & we have this sack of marigolds too. There are beans & cowpeas, tomatoes, pumpkins, cucumbers, squashes, popcorn, & peppers happily growing & setting produce. The last picture of beans, a variety called Groninger Strogele, is an heirloom from the Netherlands that I was gifted. It has been described to me as a farmhouse or cottage bean, grown to directly dry on the plants for soup. Some of this will saved for replanting next year as well as sharing with others in the community.
