This is Wacos suspension bridge, the solution to getting cattle up the Chisholm Trail and over a treacherous Brazos River, due to all the drowning deaths here(thats before the dam & reservoir was built just above us at Whitney...creating Whitney Lake, all that water is now a great recreation &fishing area). This is south looking to the north end of the bridge....if you look close, theres a couple of steers heading over it now! Will post a few other pics next time I get downtown to take some. We live on the Chisholm trail route, on the site of an old Comanche summer camp....I find beautiful arrow heads every few months.
