This is a BAD IDEA. I REPEAT.... BAD IDEA. It just reminds me of when u have an unbalanced tire on ur car, makes the whole ride wobbly and the steering wheel shakes ..... we cannot have a shaky planet can u just imagine the major problems? Not to mention all that space debris we already have within the first few orbital spheres around out planet. Space junk alone would take out that elevator and everyone inside of it Im sure. Plus my theory is when u have a tube thats been broken that leads from a non-atmospheric (vacuum) environment, leading to an atmosphere wouldnt it act like a straw? Just sucking up stuff? Im not a scientist but every logical part of my brain asks why this would even be a serious goal?
