This is a Community Theatre (non-Equity) audition notice that I am posting on behalf of a member of the Skokie Chamber of Commerce. Open Call to the Community to Audition for: Purim Time A SHPIEL Show dates: Saturday, March 15, 8 pm & Sunday, March 16, 2014, at 1 or 1:30 pm Calling Singers, Actors, Dancers, Musicians, Stage Hands, Sound and Lighting Mavens from age 8 to 88, who wish to be a part of this tradition of fun. There is a part for everyone on stage or off stage, if you prefer. Note: They are specifically looking for a few 20-somethings, both men and women, for this show. Auditions: When: Sunday, December 8, 2pm – 6pm or Sunday, December 15, 12:30pm – 3:30 pm Where: EHNTJC, 4500 Dempster, Skokie, IL How: Call or email Bill at 847-675-4141 or [email protected] to schedule a time. If someone is interested in the show, but unavailable for the audition dates, please contact them anyway. Be prepared to read from the script and sing a song of your choice. Bring music in your key; no one will sing unaccompanied. An accompanist will be provided. You can also prepare 32 bars from The Wizard of Oz, Wicked or the Wiz. Rehearsals are on Sundays, starting January 5 from 12:30 until 4 (or when finished). There will be rehearsals on Tuesdays and Thursdays in March from 7:30-10 pm (4,6,11 and 13 final dress). Additional rehearsals added only as needed.
