This is a MUST READ article from The New American Magazine written by William F Jasper. The first round of Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) negotiations are proceeding this week (July 8 through 12) in Washington, D.C. largely under the radar. The purpose of these negotiations is to bring about the convergence and economic integration of the United States of America and North America with the European Union. This initially began in 2006 under President George W. Bush and President José Manuel Barroso of the European Commission. Now President Obama and the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative are meeting with their E.U. counterparts to work out the details for full merger, or as the E.U. calls it in Lithuania "pooling sovereignty." Unbeknownst to you and most Americans is the threat to our national sovereignty and independence that this TTIP represents. This will forever radically alter our country and government and effectively do away with the Declaration of Independence. Bush, Barroso, and Obama are selling America out to a new transatlantic "partnership" under which the U.S. and E.U. will have one common market, one common monetary and trade policy, and eventually a one permanent transatlanic government.
