This is a Must See Movie - opens Friday! When the Game Stands Tall Most football games start the same. A team, fueled by adrenaline and the roars of adoring fans, rushes on to the field. There are whoops, hollers, and shouts of excitement led by a mascot and focused coaches. But this team is different. Two by two, the players of the De La Salle High School football team solemnly march onto the field with a quiet confidence—holding hands. Stunned into silence, their opponents don’t know whether to mock or stand in awe. De La Salle’s odd ritual demonstrates the brotherly affection between the players that led them to win 151 straight games. Coach Bob Ladouceur insisted that the purpose of the program was not to win games, but to produce men. As a coach, he lived by principles that produced a team that was a strong family. He is arguably the best football coach of all time. Yet, he admits he struggled as a father and a husband. Balancing work and family is difficult, but imagine applying the principles that made Ladouceur a great coach to being a dad. I will list those principles tomorrow. All Pro Dad
