I think one of the big problems is that as mental health advocates we sold community services as the far cheaper alternative to the mental asylums or institutes. Well, in a lot of cases they are AND in some cases they are only marginally less expensive if done right AND we should still provide the services in the community because that is what will lead to recovery. So if we stop doing Mental Health on the Cheap, I think the call for more mental asylums or institutes will largely fade. AND if we dont -- expect a deafening roar and more legislation such as the Murphy bill in Congress. --Val Corzine
