This is a bookcase that I built when I was a junior at Sistersville high school. Its sitting in my bedroom still in use today after more than 50 years. I have another smaller handmade bookcase and a walnut gun case that were also made there at Sistersville and still in use today. Some background for this when I was 10 years old my dad took me to Sistersville to watch those Tigers play Williamstown. In the game our neighbor Chuck Goosman took the ball around the right in and the defender from Williamstown thought he had him tackled but Chuck hurdled him and went on to score a touchdown. he went on to play at west Virginia tech and I read about his exploits there in the local star news, reported weekly by Adam Kelly. In the fall of 62 he came back to Sistersville as an assistant coach and our industrial arts teacher. It was my favorite class in school and of course he was my favorite teacher. He bought the first Corvette stingray that I ever saw at Buck Chevrolet there in Sistersville. Its the car pictured in his cover photo. He was a big influence on me both athletically and professionally as I went onto Fairmont State to get a degree in industrial arts as he had at West Virginia tech. Thank you Coach for all your influence. It has carried right onto my daughters as they both have done woodworking projects for 4H and for their own pleasure throughout their lives. Even though this was for Coach Chuck Goosman Id like for all the rest you know what a good man he was in my life. Thank all of you for reading and listening
