This is a brilliant video. This referendum is about our democracy and how we would like to use it from now on. I have heard it been said to me yesterday regarding this referendum I think you are being sold a fairy tale mate. I dont believe so. I believe that Scotland really can be an amazing nation. Look at what we have achieved so far and the direction that we want to go. There is a momentum and a wealth of talent in Scotland that can weather any storm. I have heard concerns about the concept of division. That in this turbulent world we need to stand united, that to become independent in our use of our democracy will fuel intolerance and animosity. I dont see why this needs to be or will be the case in an independent Scotland. Do we not unite with other countries regarding important issues? Do we not protect each other as allies from danger? I believe that an independent Scotland and the United Kingdom could still work together in a wonderful way if both countries decide to (which I believe they would). Are we not still united in what is important then? I believe so. It is not correct in my mind to suggest that in order to be united we need to be governed by the same source. In fact this I think is a damaging point of view because if that is the case then what chances does the United Kingdom have of being united with our neighbouring countries and allies? The principles of unity and who we are governed by are different and should be kept separate. Scotland can do this. This is the greatest political opportunity of our lives. We can show the world in two days that it is possible to gain independence with dignity and in peace. We can show the rest of the world in the decades that follow that even if we govern ourselves differently due to our different circumstances and preferences that we can still be close friends working together, united for the better cause. I believe therefore, that as an independent Scotland we can actually send the world the greatest message and example of unity possible.
