This is a cup of water with some burnt milk solids. I noticed it foaming yesterday as I melted it on a very low heat. It is American made Kirkland brand butter I purchased at Costco. It is very creamy white in appearance when solid and has very little taste and yet the label is as above. Im familiar with our labelling laws in Australia and there are legitimate loopholes to protect industry and keep consumers in the dark under the guise of trade secrets. Ive not seen butter like this before and an wondering if this is normal? Is USA dairy generally this depleted in butterfat? Is this standard butter or is it the low end nasty feedlot stuff?
