This is a double milestone year for me. Turned 50 years old in January. And now, this August, I celebrate 25 years in the Brewing industry. Im at a point where the gray in your beard introduces you as someone who might know something. You speak with confidence with the depth of your personal experience and knowing that you (borrowing from Stephen Covey) have continued to sharpen the saw. And you enter every project with a curiosity, realizing that you are continually being surprised and take away something new. Brewing and Brewery design has truly been a fun way to make a living. It has that strange mix of art and science that keeps you from figuring it all out. The years have allowed me to see many parts of the world where friendships were made with the bond of beer. It simply spans all cultural and language differences. You end up thankful...I could have been engineering car door handles.....
