This is a fantastic blog by one of the most brilliant and insightful Political Chippers most responsible for what you see on a daily basis. Great job Leslie Schmidt! I applaud Senator Roberts for making a concerted effort to contact directly, via telephone, many of his harshest & outspoken critics across the state of Kansas. I have not yet personally had an opportunity to speak to Senator Roberts directly but he has reached out to me on numerous occasions in the past couple of weeks. I also know that he has connected with many great constitutional conservative patriots throughout the state and took an absolute verbal drumming according to their accounts. Duly noted. Leslie Schmidt speaks for many across the state who are presently “undecided” on what to do on November 5th, 2014. I am casting my vote for Pat Roberts because I cannot stand Harry Reid and I desire to see what the Republican Party will do with one more turn at the plate in 2014 by controlling the Senate and the House. With that said, I take no responsibility for the outcome of the election on November 5th and neither should any other constitutional conservative in Kansas who is fighting for the principles, values, and actions explicitly stated in the 2014 Kansas Republican Party Platform (or CHIPS Platform). The Kansas State Republican Party and its’ leadership is polluted with “imperial citizen bullies” who choose to hook their wagons to bellybuttons versus principles. I believe both Roberts and Brownback will win as a result of the massive “scorched earth” campaign strategy they are currently employing. However, the future of this party is in jeopardy in my humble without a major reorganization and overhaul.
