This is a fascinating hypothesis. A bit of a stretch perhaps but not entirely unreasonable. But its the last two paragraphs that are why I love science: Miyagawa acknowledges that research and discussion in the field will continue, but says he hopes colleagues will engage with the integration hypothesis. Its worthy of being considered, and then potentially challenged, Miyagawa says. A good scientist welcomes having his work challenged, knowing that that is what makes it stronger or what leads to truth.
