This is a good example of how life takes you around in circles.....I remember back in high school early 90s when I first moved to Miami going out to eat really meant go to taco bell, $0.45 cents for a hard taco or $0.89 for a bean burrito, I cant forget going out late at night with brother J Alejandro Heredia in Javier Nava Chevy cavalier, and if the economy was a little better Checkers drive thru was the place with mi hermano Lenny Salomon Vasquez.....then in my senior year I had a better job and of course my new place was BK !!! with Ingrid Guzman, Mario Faria Johanna Valle Ninfa Mercedes Reyes Cifuentes we all loved those $0.99 cents whoppers specially after working hard at the car wash behind piggly wiggly, however on payday I was there at Miami Subs visiting mi Chamita Dayana Rodriguez-Fermin every friday.....finally out of high school making better money but going to college and working 2 or 3 odd jobs my new place was la fritanga Nica in Hialeah with el pana Harold Rodriguez una completa for $4.99, rice, bean, meat, salad and queso frito, nada mas !!!....after that I moved up to La carreta with my always lovely good friend Nina Nina ....then I was really moving up to better places, now I am out of school, making descent money and I had choices ! like Cancun grill after work with Lazaro Urrutia Fernandez and Evelynn Perez and always remember going to Chilis with Susy Testa Hermina, or my moms favorite Olive garden (uuuuyy que fancy), around that time in my life routine got out of contro, going out to eat meant 3 or 4 times a week !, Wednesday night the hang out place was Camis live music with my amigos del alma Carolina Tabare and Luis Hernandez Thursday night at Flannigans in Hialeah with Alvaro Sotillo Maria A. Rodriguez, and Fridays was Havana dreams nights !! with Lizzie Orizondo my lovely Maria Falero Ana Martinez y el gran Luis Bofill y su orquesta Dancing Salsa and drinking mojitos....To Finish the week Saturdays was Nochel Cultural, with Clarissa Rodriguez and Diana Maria ...... Many years has gone by since then, life got really really good and sometimes really really not so good, but we still got those memories, I have been able to eat in many different high end places all over USA and blessed to visit other countries and cultures with my family and my beautiful wife Lucy Rodriguez Heredia but I havent changed, today I am Still living with the same purpose in life, doing what I like with the people I like (as you can see, mostly eating), maybe now with my new crew, Elio Alfonso Julio Pulido Mario Quivera Roy Mast but always with the same purpose, enjoying life, creating new memories but not forgetting the old ones including all of you....As a dad my job is to pass that philosophy to my kids and create new memories specially to my daughter..... but Its so hard, for the last 8 years I have not been able to talk her out of taco bell and those damn tacos are like $4 dollars now, so I am stock here.....Life really can take you in circles...........Merry Christmas my friends !!!
