This is a great cause that will save countless lives if legislation is enacted. Please share this. Recently Maine failed to enact legislation for Naloxone administration. A high level Maine official told me that the rationale was that if Naloxone were made available then the threat of possible death from overdose would no longer be a deterrent from opioid use. It was obvious that the legislators had not sought outside medical, clinical or epidemiological counsel. Last year over 36,000 people died in the US from overdose.
