This is a hidden gem in Rome The Palazzo Colonna. It is where they filmed the final scene from Roman Holiday. If ever in Rome please visit this palace, still owned by the same Colonna family 800 years later. There are several important paintings that you might otherwise miss, including the ugly, but innovative, Bean Eater by Carracci, paintings by Hieronymous Bosch, Botticelli, Reni, Barbieri, Rubens, Tintoretto, a copy of Madonna and Child by Da Vinci & Caravaggio.
