This is a hypothetical situation, but the reality of it plagues - TopicsExpress

This is a hypothetical situation, but the reality of it plagues the world and the church. Is it not a strange thing that men condemn other men for strange reasons? I may very well exercise my freedom to dance and sing in public and I am condemn by my own brothers for it, yet my dancing and singing was unto God and not for a show before men. I had no want of men’s approval, just as David likewise also did. He danced practically naked before the ark of the Lord as it came into Jerusalem. Michal (David’s first wife) condemned him for it and became indignant for his joy in the Lord, all because it was outside of normality, all because it was outside of her comfort zone. Such an argument comes to mind, yet first I must say. I apologize dear brother if my actions seem a little strange. I apologize if my actions don’t please you. I apologize if I make you uncomfortable in front of men. Let me ask you then: what is sin? If I shall be condemned by you, is it not for sin that I have been condemned that you have become so wroth? Surely this is the reason, is it not? So that must mean that anything that is strange and seemingly illogical, to do such things must be sin; and this must be the reason for your condemnation is it not? Are you justified in condemning what you do not understand? Isn’t it a strange thing that God decided to save us by sending His Son to die on a Cross? Isa 55:8-9 8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. P.S. Michal never bore a child because of this sin. Shall a curse befall you as it did her because you condemn what God’s condoned? Michal reaped what she had sown. Shall you be found before the Throne condemned? Sowing condemnation unto men, you shall reap it ten-fold, sixty-fold, or a hundred-fold.
