This is a little off topic but I hope yall dont mind... My parents bought their brand new house in Daffin Heights in 1954...five years before I was born. For my entire life, no matter where I lived, thats where I went when I was going to go home. Over the years as my parents aged I would go home increasingly more often. After my father passed in August 2012 I made sure to fly down monthly to be with my mother...always to that house. I always knew that no matter what, I could always go home. We lost mother in May and now we are getting ready to sell the house. On top of the devastation of losing both parents, I am having a hard time imagining life without the going home part. For those of you who have experienced this, how have you dealt with it? Do you still go back to Savannah? Or is it too painful? Where do you stay? Does it still feel like youre going home?
