This is a loaded post for a white guy to put up, so Ill tread carefully. My main point in sharing is that its been nearly 50 years, at least 40, since prominent black men spoke this way to their own demographic and they were all either assassinated or imprisoned, quite systematically and with purpose, much if the time by their own government. Think about how jarring that is to cultural leadership. And now that Cosby feels inclined at this age to fill his perceived void, what a wide generational chasm is illuminated. Its an interesting thing.
