This is a partisan website. However, this particular comment gave me great pause. And hope. Peter Vladislav Uhlir · Organist/Pianist/Accompanist at First United Methodist Church Once again yet another in the parade of pseudo Christians that believes that legislating God into law does anything. All it does is breed resentment and hate, and works against Christian philosophies. "They will know we are Christians by our love" is the saying. Living by example is the way more Christians are created. The issue is that almost no one can do it, because the lights are on and so many Christian leaders have been proven to be the worst types of people. Not being able to show many consistent viable examples anymore, they resort to trying to force people to behave in a way that makes them feel comfortable- not even realizing that its non Christian, and works against the great commission- to save souls. So in effect certain factions are killing their religion, because they want represent thegllifestyle they want everyone to live in, but they are more than happy to try and force everyone into it. Saving people does not hiding them under a blanket of laws and pretending they arent there. Saving the alleged "soulless" means actually living and behaving in the ways that you claim you believe, and letting the "lost" live their lives as they see fit until they either convert or pass on. You cannot change a "soul" that doesnt desire to be changed. And whether or not you believe in a soul or not you cant make a person really different by force.
