This is a photo of the ORIGINAL Fairlanes. It was taken in summer, 1961 at the MoonStone room in Columbia, Tn. Left to right are Ron Stone, Doyle Petty, Clint Eskew, William Buchanan, Jerry Caskey and Danny Boones arm. Loy Hardcastle is on drums, but cant been seen in this picture. William sang with the band for only a short time. He had his own band and there were too many scheduling conflicts. He was an incredibly good singer with a voice and style similar to Brooke Benton. He was replaced by Tack Taylor who many will remember. He was a screamer with more of a Wilson Pickett style. Those were great days!
