*** This is a rant on a small group of relgious people, but is likely similar to how many Muslims feel when others associate their faith with terrorism. YOU MIGHT BE OFFENDED, but NOT as much as I am! *** I found this really unsettling. Anyone who supports World Vision supports an organization that assigns value to humans and deems some to be not worthy of equal rights. And the the small group that used children as leverage to promote hate, that was pure evil! Please help children, but DO NOT SUPPORT World Vision! There are many aide organizations that do not follow a doctrine (The Bible) that promotes homophobia, slavery, misogyny and therefore wont have to bow to the will of a small group of hate-mongers. I know not all religious people are this bad and Im sure some religious organizations arent either, but these are the people that I see associated with your faith. What is worse, is this shows their hypocrisy as I somehow doubt these people support slavery and the subjugation of women.. Or maybe they do but laws just had to force them to stop the practices. I know many religious people in my life that ARE NOT evil, but I wonder if this is pretty close to how many of Muslims feel when their entire faith is associated with terrorism. Actions like these do get associated with all of Christianity. The few rotten apples do spoil the bunch! :( The only good thing I can see is that the fact World Vision did initially change to not openly discriminate, there clearly are a number of Christians who arent hate-filled and want do believe that all humans should fundamentally have the same rights. YOU are the ones who need to stand up and prove to us your religion is actually based on love because stuff like this is horrible P.R. Begin the un-friending if you must!
