This is a real question. How do I tell new collaborators outside my organization that ss is not okay as an electronic shorthand for students the way ts might be for students (or clothing)? All I can see is en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schutzstaffel and Hitlerjudgend. I tried to subtly call it out but not sure that subtle will work. I get that social media is quick and limited but I am going to sleep with extermination in my mind.
