This is a repeat of November 2013 and the beginning of 2014. Horses are turly amazing. They can go from 50 degrees to freezing in the same day and stay warm. We as humans need our down feathered coats, hats, gloves, scarves, longjohns etc. Because we are cold we asume our horses need blankets. My guy will be 31 in January and I can count how many times he has had a blanket. I have never seen him shiver in 26 yrs. He is one of the lucky ones, he can make his choice to stay in his stall or be outside. This is where he likes to be. We all know our own bodies - animals do to - it is called instinct. Let them be horses, as long as they can get out of the elements they are happy. Cadillac and I are the lucky ones, we have choices.
