This is a touching story, one that I can relate to. March 11, 1991 I received a call telling me that my 17 year old daughter, Carrie, had fallen from a three story balcony and we needed to get to Galveston. They told us that she was life flighted to the hospital but she was still alive. The two hour drive was one of worry, tears, hope and prayers, bargaining and questions. I would go back and forth with my friend that was driving me; do u think you can survive a fall from a building that high or that high. Every building I passed I wondered the whole time asking our Father in Heaven please keep her alive, but if you take her dont let her suffer. When we arrived, I was escorted back to a room where I was told we were to late. I was told that it was too late to donate her vital organs, but we could however donate her corneas, skin and bone. Carrie had always wanted to be a donor and I said yes without any hesitation. I was just sorry that they did not know how sharing and caring she was and she would have donated all her organs. Please watch this video, and know that to give someone the gift of life, site, bone marrow, etc. is the greatest gift we can pass on in memory of our lost loved ones. The loss of my daughter was great, a part of myself went to heaven with her, but I am so proud that she wanted to be a donor. I love and miss you everyday Carrie even though you have been with Our Father for many years. God Bless Yall.
