This is a tragic loss. . . over 100,000 people died in this country from a heroin overdose last year; mostly the poor and disadvantaged. What is a tragedy is that it takes the death of a wealthy, privileged, famous person to cause the media and some people to express outrage and provide press for this problem. . .where was all this indignation for the thousands of poor, disadvantaged, and anonymous individuals who also died from heroin overdoses. My prayers go out to Mr. Hoffmans family for their loss, and for those who have not demonstrated the compassion for others who suffered the same fate until now.
