This is a very difficult situation for consumers. I do believe Red bull is the cause of deaths by consumption of this product. Just the fact that this products content has the ability to cause heart arrhythmias. My son passed away at the age of 38 this past Nov. 2014. He had consumed a large Red Bull about 4 hours before he was rushed to the hospital. His cause of death was listed by coroner as Cardiac Arrhythmia. The very sad part about this was the fact that I did not hear about his consumption of Red Bull until the night of his wake. I was informed of this by his friends who was curious as to if this is what had caused their friends/ my sons death. At the time of his death at the hospital I did not have this information about his consumption of Red Bull to be able to inform the emergency room doctor and staff so they could have a record of this situation. Since my sons death I have other friends who either have had a close experience with family or knows someone that has regarding treatment from heart arrhythmias due to Red Bull consumption. In their case it was able to be recorded into the medical records during the emergency treatment of their loved one. These individuals were able to be saved but my son was not. Not that medical protocol for treatment would have been any different for my son but at least there would have been medical documentation of his consumption of Red Bulls product. After this note in his medical record of the product consumption then at least the physician could have made a more informed diagnosis. Instead, I am left with questions unanswered regarding my sons death and this is very difficult to deal with. Do I believe this killed my son? You bet I do! My advice to others is to plead with anyone you know that consumes this product, RED BULL to please discontinue this practice. It can happen very fast and only takes one time. My mission in life is to attempt to open the eyes of individuals as to the harm this product can cause. My family suffers everyday from grief caused by the loss of my son. Thank you and if this helps one person then I have accomplished something and my sons death will not have been in vain.
