This is a very sad situation that Parsis worship other saints and religions but do not know what spiritual wealth lies in our own! Sadly, we have time for everything except to know about our own religion! Instead of Ganpati, why cannot Parsis be devoted to our Yazads, e.g. to Mino Ashishvangh who is the same as Ganpati except that we have no form given to our Yazads! Just as Ganpati gives success and wealth, so does Mino Ashishvangh! We also have our own saints who have achieved Immortality such as Kaikhusroo Padshah and Dastur Peshotan, the son of Kai Vishtasp who was granted immortality by Asho Zarathushtra! Many remember them in prayers and ask for their blessings which are given! We have Faredoon Padshah who not only captured Zohak but has given us nirangs which heal, bring peace and prosperity! We have the Ardibehesht and Vanant Yashts to ward off any evil including any sickness! If Parsis do not even know about these great Saints and what power the utterance of their names have, then they seek instant results elsewhere. What a pity! Sad that we are supposed to be a literate community but truly, we are the most religiously illiterate! If only Parsis knew what power there is in our own Manthravani! How Dasturan-e Dastur Adarbad Marespand performed the miracle of pouring molten metal on his chest but remained unscathed! How Dasturan-e Dastur Neriosang Dhaval brought down the Fire of Lightening from the Heavens by reciting the Sacred Manthra of the Ahunavar! Dasturan-e Dastur Ardaviraf went to heaven (and also to hell) while living and in trance, and he returned to give the proof of Immutable Justice that every action causes reaction. Dasturan-e Dastur Ardeshir Kermani saved the Parsi lives in Iran when he recited the Ijeshne ceremony to prove to Sultan Mohammed that we are people of the Book and that there is Power in our Prayers and Religion too when he made the Yazads appear on a white screen on which the Sultan watched the Yazads!! Do our children know the story of the Holy Fire of Aden and how it was brought here? No, by and large, parents are only interested in their own parties, sending kids to dance schools, but our own religion is simply put aside! It is easy for many to follow the crowd! Our community is mesmerized by the false glitter and glamour of the 21st century and has no time to even look elsewhere! No time to pray or read religious books. How long will we survive when many do not even know the basic kusti prayers? Hope this situation changes soon and the old Parsipanu returns! As Mr. Sanjana has so well pointed out, we respect all religions but remain committed to only ours! We cannot walk on two Paths/roads simultaneously although we have two feet! We walk only One Path, the religion in which we are born!
