This is a very scary thing. I was sitting at a table at a BBQ a few years back. This Grandma started choking and I calmly walked over to her side of the table got her up and did several heimlich thrusts and NOTHING! I was afraid of hurting her. She was in her early 80s. I gave one last hard thrust and out came the steak and of course I broke one of her ribs. But she is still with us to tell the story!
