This is a video of the Georgia Grassroots Coalition Press Conference at the GA State Capitol, Sept 17, 2014. Our chairman, Jeanne Seaver, of the Savannah Tea Party formally announced our founding and Michael Scupin, of the Lanier Tea Party Patriots was asked to say a few words about the Constitution, on this, Constitution Day, September 17th. The background noise was compliments of the construction crew who were working on the front steps of the Capitol. The reason we formed this coalition is because we saw a need for an umbrella organization to coordinate the efforts of the all the conservative groups in GA, (Tea Party, 912, Libertarian, Constitution Party, Fair Tax, etc etc.) to speak with one voice on certain issues we all agree on. And the three issues we all agree on right now are; Obamacare, Immigration and Common Core, plus others as they arise. This is not an organization of individuals, this is a coalition of organizations that represent 181,000 activists in Georgia. We dont envision every member organization being involved in every issue. This is just a loose federation of groups that will decide by consensus what issue to work on and then, all who are interested will work together on that issue. I just noticed that the quality of this video depends on the program you have on your computer. On my desktop, it works fine, on my laptop the background noise is so loud I cant make anything out. Dont ask me why, my IT guy my 19 year old son set them up and he is at college. He also was not here to help me edit the video I took.
