This is a warning of a new Phishing attempt, that I just caught - TopicsExpress

This is a warning of a new Phishing attempt, that I just caught and sent to Chase who had not heard of it. In the night, she received this email from Chase, or credit card issuer: This is an Alert to help manage your account ending in 4590. A $277.00 external transfer to CONSTITUTION PAY on 04/05/2014 2:19:15 AM EDT exceeded your Alert setting. If you have questions about this transaction, please log on to chase or call 1-877-CHASEPC (1-877-242-7372). This went to Paula, even though I am the person they are supposed to notify. Those numbers are not attached to any account I own. We have had no transactions related to Constitution. That number is not a Chase number. But if you call it, they will have your phone number and for identification purposes, they will have your social security number. When you say that is not your credit card number, Ill bet that they will ask you what your real credit card number is. When I called Chase to report abuse, the guy on the line said it sounded very much like an authentic Chase notification... but it was not. It seems I was the first to report this newest scam--a very clever one. I am telling you now to beware.
