This is about a dog, Jack who has cancer and how his family chose to handle this situation. It touches upon a very sensitive issue that any family could confront when someone in the family falls terminally ill. In the sense, that whatever decision the family collectively takes is highly vulnerable to the judgement of our overzealous society whose enthusiastic devotion cannot be doubted atleast when it comes to giving unsolicited advice. A touching and heart-breaking narrative. Ideally the sentiments of the writer will be best understood by those who love pets or should I say, who have compassion for animals who many believe are better than we humans in many ways (Its an another subject of debate which we can indulge in some other day).
