Voyager traveling at somewhere between 35,000 to 62,000 miles per hour is estimated to be able to reach Alpha Centauri, the nearest Star to us in the Milky Way Galaxy, in 70,000 years. Light travels at 671 million miles per hour. In one year light travels a distance of 6 Trillion miles. Light speed is still not fast enough to travel these vast distances of the Cosmos. To get to the center of the Milky Way Galaxy, it would take 30,000 light years.
