This is about as complicated a snow forecast as you can get. If it was colder and there were more moisture to work with, wed feel much more confident about our snowfall forecast. When those conditions are marginal though, everything becomes more difficult. There are now indications that a heavier band of snow could develop across the area, but its incredibly difficult to pinpoint where this will occur. Best guess right now is that it will be east of the metro area, but its possible it could set up farther west. Best estimate right now is 1 of snow in Richmond, but it could also be only 1/2 or all the way up to 2 (if that heavier band sets up over town). I know this range is not what you want to hear, but for this situation, its necessary. We want you to be prepared for the worst, but not be surprised if it ends up being pretty insignificant.
