This is absolutely appalling. IDGAF about how good its looking on paper with curbing our national debt, making New Zealand GDP profits flashing us number crunches followed by affirming plus symbols, and ooohh look what we did, we did a good thing!. Our attention is being intentionally diverted away from the real issues- where vital programs and resources are being cut. While those who are financially able to- and obliged to pay their share are STILL receiving tax write offs and exemptions. Nothing is taboo any more- each and every one of our institutions and resources is up for sale, to the highest bidder (who is almost certainly under qualified to handle it, and with an agenda that doesnt factor in public interest) Im not one to vote, and quite frankly Im not stupid enough to buy into the bullshit that any one party is any more authentic, and less corrupt than the other but public awareness and education is what is important here. Dont underestimate the power of people, we just need to know what we are fighting for.
