This is absolutely nuts. We have had a moderate to mild summer here this year, unlike the virtual absence of summer the last two years. And now, on the local news, they are repeatedly saying, on Krem 2 news, After the hottest summer on record, you can expect a spider infestation. Now theyve said it 4 times - that this has been an historic, very hot, the hottest hott hott summer of all time in this region. Folks, this summer started around the 2nd week of July (we had snow in June), and its now over. We had no days that I know of above 98, and I would doubt we had more than 15 days above 95. Maybe Im losing my mind, but this summer was not even close to the hottest summer since I moved here in 1999. Why are the local Spokane channels trying to prop up the illusion of warming while the entire rest of the world, even the Washington Post, is going the other way? And by the way, havent seen a single spider.
