This is absolutely shocking to me, as a horse owner there have been times where I have eaten less in order to offer my horses the right nutrition. The horse community is tight knit and would never allow horses to go without proper care. All these owners had to do would be to reach out. The system is lacking proper regulation if they allow a horse to have food and water without specifying that the food should be enough food to maintain healthy body weight and water should be clean and clear. Not to mention the facilities these animals are being cared for in should be cleaned regularly. Horses are not meant to be caged, so they can have several breathing and medical issues from living in an area with improper ventilation and rotting carcasses. How could a professional not be called to note the danger of keeping horses in this environment and properly investigate the reason for the other horses deaths? How can we as a population allow Pit Bulls to be banned for what the owners are doing to make them unsocialized and dangerous, yet turn a blind eye every time animal cruelty is called in to question. Our society has lost its sense ownership and true consequences. People need to be held accountable for their actions, not the poor animals that are only a victim to their environment. Just Shocking!
